This is an article that will help you update your theme from a previous version to version 1.3.9. This only applies to the people who bought the theme prior to version 1.3.9
To get started, you can see the list of changes here.
Regenerate Thumbnails:
The main reason for writing this article is due to the theme introducing new image sizes, which will only take effect after you resize your already existing images.
The following sizes were added:
cookiteer-recipe-grid – 510px by 286px
cookiteer-recipe-list 400px by 225px
cookiteer-recipe-categories-sm 300px by 200px
This was done because the previous sizes that the theme was using were too large for their containers, and it was take useless loading speeds.
To begin with, download a plugin called Regenerate Thumbnails.
Activate this plugin and head to Tools > Regenerate thumbnails.
Follow the steps in the image above, and wait for all the images to resize. Head back to your site and enjoy faster loading times.
Reactivating Cookiteer Plugin:
After updating the plugin to version 1.2.1. Simply deactivate it and reactivate it to create the new tables that power the I Made It functionality.
Notes:
- New plugin update was introduced, so update your plugin to get access to the new features. You can do that either from the plugins page, or by re-downloading the package from themeforest and accessing the plugins folder.
- Check Cookiteer Options > Recipe Options for a list of nicely introduced features like I Made it that allows users to see who made this recipe.
- Check Cookiteer Options > General Options > Custom Js which will allow you to add custom scripts like Google Analytics scripts and so on
- Don’t forget to clear your cache once you update, thats CTRL + F5 to hard refresh or if you’re using a caching plugin, purge the plugin cache
And finally, for any other questions, you know where to find us. And as I always end my emails
Best, Andrew
